9 Colleges to Attend Near Las Vegas

Choosing which college to go to can be one of the biggest decisions of your life. 5. Mohave Community College – Tuition: $64 per credit hour. Community colleges like MCC offer different advantages from a typical four-year university. If you want, you can get a much less expensive associate’s degree and transfer into a bachelor’s program at another university. Also, you can graduate college in two years and enter directly into a high-paying technical field. Over 13,000 students attend MCC annually, and the school offers eight different areas of study, with over fifty specific degrees.

6. Regis University – Tuition: $14,700 per semester. A satellite university of the main Denver campus, the Las Vegas campus offers an education steeped in the Jesuit Catholic tradition and is one of 28 Jesuit universities in the U.S.  Regis University has ranked as one of the best universities for twelve consecutive years by the U.S. News and World Report.

7. Touro University of Nevada – Tuition: $7,980 per semester. Located exclusively in Las Vegas, TUN offers medical training in various professions including nursing, physical therapy, and doctoral degrees. With a small enrollment of 1,500, education at Touro is intimate and personalized. Most programs require an associate or bachelors degree to enter the program, so consider this after you attend another college first.

8. Art Institute of Las Vegas – Tuition: approximately $7,472 per semester. AI offers various degrees, including web design, the culinary arts, digital photography, and audio production. The school environment encourages creativity and allows students to pursue fields of study otherwise unavailable at typical universities.

9. Everest Institute – Tuition: $9,000 for one year. This college trains you for a year and has a 100% guarantee to send you out with a job. This branch campus offers degrees in accounting, business administration, criminal justice, massage therapy, paralegal training, and medical administration and assisting.
